95% pure carbon blank Fuji K-rings with SIC ceramics Fuji KR ring system Fuji VSS reel holder Premium low viscosity EVA handle
Tailwalk AJIST SD is a new generation of rods with a revolutionary lightweight design. Compared to previous models, the weight has been reduced by up to 39%, making it one of the lightest rods on the market. It is designed for those looking for sensitivity, comfort and precise control when fishing for micro jigs or small gums, especially for perch.
Fuji SiC rings (ALL SiC)
All rods are equipped with Fuji SiC rings from tip to handle. They feature extremely low friction - up to 20 times more cleaning durability and 5.7 times more heat conductivity than conventional solid rings.
Intelligent handle design
The handle is designed to remove all unnecessary weight. The reel holder is left with only the essential parts, while the other sections are made of carbon tubing and EVA material.
Lightweight blanks in 40T carbon
The spinning reel is based on 40T high-modulus carbon fibre for exceptional lightness and sensitivity. When you feel the lure in your hand, you instantly feel the difference.
Solid tip (30T carbon)
Models marked "/SL" come with a solid tip made of 30T carbon. It is extremely sensitive, so it transmits strikes well and responds quickly to changes in load.
Tubular tip
Models marked "/TT" are equipped with tubular tip tops. They are specially designed to feel subtle bites better, especially when casting the lure further.
EVA rear handle
The compact rear handle in EVA material is ideally balanced with the lightweight shaft, further contributing to the overall weight reduction.
Tailwalk AJIST SD is the rod for those who want maximum sensitivity and comfort when jigging for bass. New generation technology, top-of-the-range components and revolutionary lightness will give you a completely different sensation on the water.
It's hard to be surprised by anything these days, but the weight of this new 2025 rod, the Ajist SD S72/TT , made me weigh it several times to make sure the scales were accurate. Not that 48 grams is unheard of - such weights are nothing new: rods for sheepshead fishing, or complete "matchsticks" that are too scary to touch, weigh the same. However, this rod does not look at all flimsy or too slender.
A 9 g head with rubber is a perfectly normal option for it, and personally I would be happy fishing with a 10 g.
What is the action on this rod? Compared to the Arion series, it seems to have a slower action with a 7g lure and a faster action with a 5g lure. It's not a complete "stag", so it will cushion the bass well and won't tear its lips, preventing disappointment when the trophy goes away.
