Xesta is a relatively young Japanese rod manufacturer producing exceptional rods. Xesta rods are characterised by their impeccable design, finesse and what's more - sensitivity. This manufacturer has been expanding its range of rods quite quickly and now produces rods for a wide range of applications. Unlike most of the smaller Japanese manufacturers, Xesta also produces excellent rods for sturgeon jigging, powerful jigs for pike with coarse rubber or long rods for river fishing.

The most popular Xesta rods are the XESTA Black Star Rock S73M Lock Spin Shooter, which is a very good rod for catching sturgeon from the boat with 15-28g head hooks. It is sensitive, robust and not cosmically expensive. Its price is not very high for a Japanese manufacturer's spinning rod of this power.

Another very popular Xesta model is the versatile and quite glamorous Xesta Black Star Extra Tuned S84MH-T. It is a 2.55m long and 1.5-18g casting test rod for those who are looking for something special for fishing from the shore. However, this rod is also very useful for boat anglers with a grab. The longer blank absorbs the impact of any size of catch better and allows for a wider variety of casts.
