2025 Shimano Sustain FK C3000

Compared to the 2021 Sustain FJ, the new FK is distinguished by the following innovations:

• Infinity Xross - a new generation gear system with wider gear contact.

  InfinityLoop - an ultra-slow drum oscillation that allows the line to be laid very smoothly.

• This results in longer, more accurate casts and significantly reduced drag.

• InfinityDrive - a system that reduces friction between gears.

• The reel rotates more easily, so it stays smooth when fishing with heavier loads, such as pulling heavier baits or fish.

• Anti-Twist Fin - an additional control element that prevents the line from dragging or twisting freely.

• This is especially important when using braided lines.

• DuraCross Drag - the next generation drag system based on carbon fibre technology. It offers increased durability and smooth drag, so the reel remains soft even when fighting powerful fish.

Other key technologies that were present in the Sustain FJ are also present in the FK:

• HAGANE Gear - forged gears for durability;

• MicroModule II and X-SHIP - ultra-smooth and silent spin;

• Magnumlite (MGL) rotor - made of Ci4+ composite for lightness and sensitivity;

• SilentDrive - quiet and vibration-free operation;

What these changes bring in real life use

Although at first glance the Sustain FK looks very similar to the FJ, the technological improvements offer clear advantages:

• The reel starts and spins even more easily even under load;

• line lay and casting distance are significantly improved thanks to the InfinityLoop;

• the new drag system is quieter, smoother and maintains stable performance for longer;

• Anti-Twist Fin reduces the twisting of the roller in real terms, especially when using braided rollers;

These improvements are not revolutionary, but the real feel and durability of the reel has improved noticeably, especially when fishing long distances or in salt water.
