If you've tried the old Kairiki line, you've probably noticed that it's quite hard-wearing and durable, but it does get swollen quite quickly. The new Kairiki is woven more densely, is a little harder, less puffy and sinks much better. In terms of price and quality, it is the No1 8-strand braided line. Daiwa J-Braid 8 or Sufix Performance 8, cost the same, but quality is behind.
