There are countless inexpensive braided lines, but their quality varies. Well-known brands that offer 8-strand braided line for up to 15 euros are simply packaging the cheapest product available, slapping their logo on it, and making a profit—but a brand name doesn’t guarantee you’ll catch anything. The Latvian company ESMA decided that the best value for money can be achieved by ordering lines directly from the manufacturer and not paying any brand a cut, and by being able to offer a high-quality line at a significantly lower price. And this line is definitely worth the 10 euros. It’s much smoother and rounder than most more expensive lines. It’s worth noting that the line is traditionally thickened. A 0.10 mm line is perfect for feeder fishing with a 50 g feeders or for spinning with a rod test of up to 20 g. A 0.14 mm line is an excellent choice for catching salmon or pike in weedy areas.
