The 6000 HG Model features

The 6000 HG (High Gear) version features a fast 5.7:1 ratio and can pick up up to 103 cm of line with a single turn of the knob. It is the ideal choice for techniques that require speed - shore jigging, fast jigging of wobblers or surface lures.

An important improvement: in the 5000 and 6000 sizes, Shimano has removed the automatic hoop closure mechanism. This means that the hoop is closed only by hand during the casting process, completely eliminating the risk of accidental bending of the hoop during a powerful cast and protecting precious lures from breakage.
