The Shimano Speedmaster Deep Drop is a specially designed rod for deep sea fishing with Shimano electric reels. The spiral-mounted rings ensure maximum rod action efficiency and significantly improve fishing comfort and results.

One look at the Speedmaster Deep Drop and it's clear that this is an exceptional rod. The spiral ring arrangement allows the line to slip under the rod shaft, keeping the line away from the rod blank under load. This solution minimises reel twist and maximises the strong, progressive action - essential when fishing at great depths.

TheShimano Speedmaster Deep Drop 1+1 (removable grip) rod is made with the most advanced technologies: Full Carbon, HPC, Nanosheet and Biofibre. The combination of these materials not only ensures tremendous strength and reliability, but also allows the rod to progressively adapt to unexpected load jumps when fighting fish.

As befits a tool of this level, all components are of the highest quality: Fuji rings, aluminium reel holder, comfortable non-slip EVA handle. The rings are additionally reinforced with red and silver coloured windings, which not only strengthen the construction but also give the rod a distinctive aesthetic look.

The series offers three models, all 6'9" (2.06 m) long, for different load capacities: 200-600 g, 500-1000 g and 800-1500 g.
