Jackson Rogos 80 is one of the two most popular (together with Jackall Timon) salmon wobblers in Lithuania. It is designed to be used for fishing in sea coasts, harbours, etc., but its good qualities were soon noticed by our best salmon fishermen, they requested the right colours from the manufacturer and Rogos became the top of every salmon fisherman's arsenal. At first glance, this wobbler is not a maxi-far casting wobbler, as it has no distance casting system, and just by throwing and pulling it does not seem to hold the current at all, as it turns on its side and rises to the surface of the water soon after the pull. However, it has something that other wobblers do not have. Despite its elongated shape, it is very active in the current, i.e. it can be cast as slowly as possible while holding in the current and it will still be very active. And that is the most important thing when it comes to salmon or sea bream. The Rogos 80 casts moderately, but in windy weather, when lighter baits with long cast systems start to not cast at all, the Rogos cast is shortened a little. It can also be cast sufficiently with a variety of rods. Both with slow and fast action, with powerful and softer ones.

Casting is simple, casting is a bit more complicated. The standard way to catch a Rogos is to cast it across the flow or slightly upstream and let it sink for a couple of seconds. Then we start turning the knob until we feel the wobbler wobble. Then just turn the knob until the wobbler is still vibrating, but as slowly as possible. Sometimes it is enough just to hold the wobbler and let it move towards the shore. When the wobbler gets close to the shore, often the salmon angler just quickly gathers the line, because there is little point in pulling the lure upstream when catching salmon.
