The new 2022 Shimano Expride is designed with Hi-Power X technology and a Carbo Monocoque grip. The latter innovation lightens the tool and makes it 30% more responsive without sacrificing blank strength. Extremely lightweight, with excellent balance, the new Expride also features a Shimano CI4+ reel seat and Fuji SIC rings. Shimano's Hi-Power X technology allows engineers to tailor each blank to a specific fishery. Some models have more plastic in the blanks, others are sharper. Each model has a distinctive taper, thickness and elasticity of the blank, just the right one for the optimum fishing technique.
