The Shimano Vanquish is a completely different type of reel to the Twinpower, which is a step down in price. The Twinpower is a power reel, while the Vanquish is the lightest reel, no company has made a lighter reel than it. Older Vanquish models also led the way in weight, but with modern technology this model is getting lighter. The question is how durable will it be? The two older Vanquish models have, despite the concerns, served well and continue to do so today.
