Jackets

Fishing jackets come in many different types, and fishermen usually choose them according to the season. In winter, of course, you need jackets that are very warm, long, breathable and somewhat waterproof. For the spring and autumn seasons, protection from rain and wind is needed, for which membrane jackets are available to keep out water, wind and evaporate sweat. For summer, jackets are usually needed to protect against short but heavy rainfall, in which case a good membrane thin jacket should be chosen. Fishermen also buy jackets to keep warm in the colder mornings and evenings. Softshell jackets may be suitable for this purpose, as they provide protection against wind and some protection against rain.

Wading jackets for fishing

Fishermen usually buy jackets separately when they are looking for waders, that is, jackets to go with waders. Wading jackets differ from basic membrane jackets in that they are shorter and have pockets high up in the front. This is so that the jacket's squerries, and especially the pockets, do not get soaked in the water when entering the water. Of course, these jackets must also have a very good membrane, because anglers who like to fish from the shore often get wet in the rain. It is recommended to buy a 3-layer jacket with at least 15 000mm of rain resistance. You will say that the price is high, but not necessarily: but for several years now the best value for money on the market has been the FHM Brook wading jacket, which has a Toray Dermizax membrane of 20,000mm/10,000g, and is the best wading jacket in Lithuania for its price. You can buy the FHM Brook jacket online or try it on and buy it in person at Pramonės pr. 41a, Kaunas.
