What is braided wool made of?

Braided line is the oldest type of fishing line. When the chemical industry was still unable to produce a single strand of synthetic line, fishermen used to plait line from natural organic materials such as cotton, silk or even horse hair. Nowadays, braided line is woven from polyethylene (PE) filaments. On the market, one often hears the names and brand names of Spectra or Dynema fibres for a particular type of polyethylene line. Thus, it is also a PE pile. Braided fleeces are usually made of 4 or 8 strands, but there are also 5, 9, 12, 13 or 16 strand braided fleeces. However, 8 strand braided lines are clearly the most popular as they are rounder, stronger and more slippery, while being quieter than 4 strand lines, more abrasion resistant and cheaper than 12 or 16 strand lines. The advantages of braided line are: strength, knot strength, softness, durability and low elasticity. Main disadvantages: high price, poor abrasion resistance, highly visible to fish, buoyant (although buoyancy is an advantage rather than a disadvantage in, say, surface lure fishing}.

The sensitivity of the pinto line to more than just spinning

Braided line is commonly used for spinning and fyke fishing. This is due to one of its characteristics - low elasticity. The lower the elasticity of the line, the more sensitive it is both visually and in the hand. When fishing with fiders, it is very important to see the fish touch the bait and start to taste it. If the bait is cast far away, you will not be able to see a cautious bite with a monofilament reel. For a feeder, it is better to choose a braided line. When spinning, the braided line and its low elasticity are needed both to feel the bottom and the bite, and also to bite the fish better. For bottom fishing, with beacons or monkeys, braided line is also poorly suited. For these applications it is better to choose a monofilament line. For float fishing, a monofilament line will also be best. Unlike monofilament lines, braided lines can vary a lot in quality from one another. A braided line can be woven with very different fibre qualities and different coating qualities. The highest quality braided fleeces are woven from a very high grade of PE and coated with very high quality materials, extending the longevity of the fleece. And the braiding itself can be more complex or simpler. The worst so far are the Chinese, who have managed to produce braided line very cheaply, but only with a rather thick diameter and poor other properties. With rare exceptions, the Chinese declare a diameter twice or even three times thinner than the line actually is, thus creating the illusion of a strong line. Experienced anglers quickly see this, but beginners are sometimes fooled by this trick.

Care should be taken when buying a pint of spinning line online

Buying a line from an unknown manufacturer or a line you have never seen before can cause severe burns. There are many manufacturers who declare a diameter that is twice as small as it is in reality, and you can't tell from the picture. So either buy from a reputable dealer who also states the actual thicknesses, or only buy from a well-known manufacturer. You can buy braided walruses online at www.azukle.lt. Especially as there are sales. If the wool is very thick, we take note of this and indicate it in the description of the wool. The most popular braided reels at the moment are Shimano Kairiki, which often have price promotions. There are sinking braided lines specifically designed for feeder fishing. These are the Nytro and Preston "pins". Their price is not low, but they can be a great help when you need to fish at great depths.
