Breathable waders

The most popular waders among river anglers are breathable waders. They are designed for fishermen who move around a lot and like comfort. They are not too hot in summer and, if you dress correctly, you can get away in winter. They are sold with the boots glued on or the wading boots can be bought separately. The separately fitted boots are the most comfortable option but also the most expensive. When fishing with breathable waders and wading boots, walking is no different from elementary clothing. There is no constraint and it is possible to walk very long distances, which is not possible with basic, non-breathable waders. It is also safe enough to wade in deeper places, because even if you fall into a hole or slip and fall, you can swim out. With rubber waders this is much more difficult.

The biggest disadvantage of breathable waders is that, like all clothing, they wear out. When normal jeans stretch and develop micro-cracks in the seams, we are not uncomfortable, but when a micro-crack appears in the seam of a pair of waders, it becomes a problem. The average lifetime of breathable waders is 1.5 years. If you fish intensively, they can start to leak water in the first year, which is an unsolvable problem for manufacturers. If the fisherman doesn't get the size right and the trousers stretch too much across the lap or knees, they will not last long.
