The Siweida Ultimate is the new 2024 Siweida rod that makes almost all anglers raise their eyebrows when we show them the rod and ask them what the price might be. We have already seen that Siweida rods arrive in Lithuania and, thanks to a very short and inexpensive sales channel, are sold here at really fantastic prices with other models of Siweida rods. Fuji rings or high modulus carbon are not surprising either. However, the handle of the Ultimate spinning rod knocked the socks off. A full carbon modern handle with a hollow "bell" at the end, which when held against the hand significantly increases the sensitivity of the spinning rod we have already seen in Shimano rods, but the price of them is different. And Siweida has done a good job with quality from the heart. The rods are really free of any visible beads, bad splices, glue residues etc. Everything like a top class spinning rod. So 10 points for technology, design and price, and now for the rods themselves and their purpose. The short 213cm models are quite different. The 4-17g model, despite its tubular tip, is more suitable for jigging than for twitching, while the more powerful 25 and 28g models are classic twitching rods. So for those looking for something special but inexpensive for twerking, it's hard to find a better option. The 240cm models up to 17g also have a softer limb and are suitable for sturgeon jigging, while the more powerful ones are more pike rods with a firm saddle that really feels like a good-sized stock. The 265cm rods are powerful enough for all casts. The 4-17 model will be suitable for jigging or casting wobblers from the bank. The more powerful models are more versatile, and you'll feel confident catching pike with larger rubber or shiners, and have the sensitivity for heavier jigging. Compared to the similar casting Samurai or Resonance rods, the Ultimate is more powerful, with a more massive and powerful blank, but the blank has a slightly quicker action with softer limb work.
