If you have tried the old Kairiki line, you probably noticed that it is sufficiently wear-resistant and durable, but it swelled up quite quickly. The new Kairiki is more densely woven, slightly stiffer, less puffy and sinks much better. In terms of price and quality, this is the #1 8 strand braided line. Daiwa J-Braid 8 or Sufix Performance 8, cost the same, but lag behind in quality.
