When it comes to fun, not much beats the challenge of light rock fishing (LRF). If you are the kind of angler who isn’t dictated to by the size of fish you catch, you’ll certainly get a big kick out of catching the small, almost exotic fish that live close to all European shores. With a Bassterra LRF in your hand you can work small lures really effectively from rocks, or close to structures like harbour walls or marinas, safe in the knowledge that when a fish grabs your lure you’ll instantly see the bite on the super sensitive solid tip fitted to both models.
The Full Carbon blanks of the Bassterra LRF have a fast action and are enhanced with Diaflash construction to give the rods the correct action, responsiveness and casting performance required when fishing ultra lightweight lures. You can cast small spinners and other hardbaits deceptively well, or as an alternative fish a soft plastic close to shore with supreme precision, thanks to the sensitive solid tips. Fitted with corrosion resistant Seaguide XOG Zirconia guides, which work perfectly with fine braid or mono reel lines, both models are fitted with a VSS reel seat and a split grip EVA handle. Available in light power (1-11g casting weight) for super sensitive situations and light-plus power (3-15g casting weight) for more demanding situations where slightly bigger lures are preferred.
