Buckets, sieves, baiting equipment

Fishing for peaceful fish is not without bait, and bait needs to be moistened and mixed well before fishing, which is something you can't really do without a quality bucket. Fishing buckets come in a variety of capacities: from a 5 litre bucket that can be folded up to a 40 litre tub for club competitions. The most popular are the 13-25l buckets.

Buckets for fishing can be of different quality. The worst buckets are made of hard plastic, they break very quickly and are not very good for mixing bait with a spinner. The best buckets are made of very soft plastic, but the price of such a bucket with lid exceeds 30 EUR.

A fishing bucket can be sold without a lid, with a lid and with an extra bowl. The extra bowl is needed for bait preparation or storage.

Some manufacturers sell a complete bucket set including bucket, bowl, bait sieve and lid. For example, the Drennan company has come up with a retractable lid for the bucket, so that the bucket can be transported with the sieve on it, as a simple lid will not fit over the sieve. When buying a bucket with a bowl, it is also worth paying attention not only to the softness of the plastic, but also to the small detail of whether the bowl has a place on the side for a finger. If the bowl is round, it is very difficult to take it out of the bucket after it has been placed in the bucket if there is nowhere to put your finger.

The softest buckets are made by VDE and Sensas. And the best priced buckets are made by the French company ROK, which are harder than the former but much softer than the ones you can buy in household goods shops.
